Holy cow y'all, this is officially our Frak n Frenz 2yr anniversary! What a treat that it happens to fall on Valentine's Day this year, which seems perfectly appropriate to celebrate love and OUR love for this incredible community we've built together <3
The team is proud to present some incredible new friends that we haven't yet featured including, all the way from Detroit, Karla Chapa. This is the official tune release party for one of our own, Dominik Audio. Dom is part of a production duo with Fraktured LA resident, Xosex. Together they are 'The Beat Cleavers' and their new tune 'Makin a Name' is available Jan 31st on all major platforms.
LINEUP:
Karla Chapa - Detroit, MI
DJ/Producer born and raised in Mexico, her debut started out in 2013. Established in Detroit, Michigan in 2020. Her music combines a wide variety of bass music going from trap and moombathon all the way to dubstep and riddim. The variety of genres will make you stay on the dance floor.

Bio: Jason Apple, aka Ground Control, is a San Francisco-based bass music producer and DJ. His productions draw heavily from bassline and early rave music, with stops on the way at breaks, funky, and electro. Ground Control's debut record, "Be Nice," was released on Future Funk Squad’s En:Vision Records in June 2008. He has since released music on such labels as Play Me Recordings, Hot N Heavy, 9G Records, and Sleevin Records. His collaborations with San Francisco DJ/producer DJ ICON have been featured on illeven: eleven Records, Rat Recordings, and Vibrance Recordings.
As a DJ, Ground Control is a shapeshifter, seamlessly switching up genres as the party demands. His work with the Janky Barge Crew has seen him play at some of the Bay Area's biggest parties, including Icebreakers Ball, Freqo de Mayo, Ghostship, and Breakfast of Champions.

His roots in dance music stretch back much further than his years behind the decks, starting in 2003. Even though he grew up in a small community deep in Northern California, with little access to anything outside of the mainstream, dance music still found its way into his heart via his older brother. With an appreciation for the frentic and uplifting energy of the early aughts UK rave sound as his sonic framework, he initially latched on to trance and UK Hard House. However, over time, while he never lost his love for those bangin’ beats he transitioned into a more groove centered shadowy blend of gritty bassline fueled breaks.
Alec is a pillar of Northern California’s dance music community. He has spent nearly two decades traveling up and down the coast injecting dancefloors with his precision mixing and unmatched energy. He’s long been a mainstay in Nor Cal’s storied festival circuit with appearances on the stages of events like Stilldream and Serenity Gathering. Coupled with his work as part of the Rogue Alliance Crew, he’s proven that he is not only a talented performer but also someone who cares deeply about keeping the ethos of the rave movement alive by building relationships on the dancefloor through movement and bass.
