An evening filled with poetry and inspiration at Alke Café in Harlem, NY.
Celebrate the new year "2026"with Fragments Of Us poetry experience.
What started as a thought and a discussion between Founder David Hopper and The owner of Alke cafe materialized into a need, a safe space crafted for men.
Now starting their second year the space is opened up an open mic segment for novice and veterans alike. Even though the foundation of Fragmentds is a safe space for men, the open mic segment gives space for anyone to speak their truth, let go of their pain or just share some of thier creativeness.
We will alwats be a place where men can breathe truth into the room, pour passion into verses, and connect through the art of poetry. Every line spit, every story shared, becomes a mirror reflecting resilience, healing, and raw authenticity.
This first show of the year will have new comer to the family Christian Morant; a renowned poet, musician, author of the book GROWTH, and illustrator of the children's adventure I Belong!. His breakthrough single SNAPPIN' is a juxtaposition to his 2024 album I Am Not A Rapper and he has also broken poetic & cinematic barriers by bringing 20 extraordinary artists together in his 2025 production of Stage Presence.
