Hey, FriendsQuartersNetwork Community!We are now one month into the membership model and we're excited that this thing is finally up and rolling.
We are hosting a members meet & greet + Q&A session event on Thursday evening November 7th. Come by to meet other members, socialize, and enjoy some free food - as well as get any of your questions answered about the FQN membership.
You might already be an FQN member, or you might be curious what it is about. All are welcome!
The FQN membership idea was created to solve a common problem: "I want to host a community event (workshop, yoga, party, market, karaoke, open mic, potluck, etc) but event venue space rental is too expensive."
As well as: "Vancouver can feel lonely and I want to create and experience more community!"
What membership is :
We are offering use of our event space (www.friendsquarters.com) (which typically rents for $100-$200 per hour) for $25 a month to host your community events, as well as attend events.
The $25 a month doesn't cover the cost to have staff to manage event bookings and events, so this opportunity does need people who are excited to be hands-on and help contribute their time to making this project a success.
As we're launching this thing, there have been a few questions and a bit of confusion. So we thought this would be a great chance to gather everyone together to do a live Q&A.
We would also like to share some of the upcoming community events, and we would like to see who would like to be involved. Basically a chance for the FQN community to come together, share some food, share ideas and excitement for this amazing community that we're building here at FriendsQuarters.
