Misty Griffin (Moms for Liberty, Orange Co. Chair), Kathryn Robbins (Moms for Liberty, Seminole Co. Chair), Shelley Benn (Founder of Lamplighter Academy, Winter Garden), Connie Albers (Equipped To Be podcast, Author of Parenting Beyond the Rules) will be joining us as our guest speakers!

Doors will open at 6pm, and the meeting will promptly begin at 6:15pm.

Hor d'oeuvres will be available.

Misty Griffin, Chair of the Orange County chapter of Moms for Liberty, has spent her life advocating for the rights of children. Misty and her family recently moved from Colorado in January of 2021. When she realized that there was not a Moms for Liberty chapter in Orange County, she decided to get off the bench and start one. Since becoming an official chapter on August 16th, membership numbers have rapidly grown to well over 100 members and counting. Misty and her wonderfully supportive husband have three boys.

Kathryn Robbins is the Chapter Chair of Moms for Liberty, Seminole County. She is an advocate for parental rights and school choice, working with parents in her county to seek needed change inside the public school system.

Kathryn is a number one best selling author of the book Bullied: The Ultimate Identity Theft, and long time mentor for trauma and human trafficking survivors who has used her expertise and experience to provide training for non profits.

Kathryn has a daughter, age 22, whom she homeschooled, and is a resident of Seminole County.

Shelley Benn has been homeschooling her two boys for the past 11 years. She holds a Bachelor of Science, MCL in Communications and Marketing. She obtained her Master's in Communications Management in Sydney, Australia, while serving as a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar. Before being called to school her children at home, she worked as a Broadcast Manager and Television Producer in International Broadcast Marketing at Walt Disney World Resort.

As a founding Board Member for Lamplighter Academy, she is passionate about playing a role in raising a generation of young Christian leaders and life long learners who love the Lord and are equipped to make a Kingdom impact.

Connie Albers has spent much of her adult life as a homeschool mom to five and mompreneur with an outreach and ministry to parents through her speaking and various leadership roles. Balancing her roles as a wife, speaker, homeschooler, consultant, and active volunteer, she has learned to discover resilience and joy within the stop and go of life. She is a respected leader, social media enthusiast, and trusted mom who understands the challenges of balancing the demands of life, work and homeschool.

More recently, Connie is equipping parents with her book Parenting Beyond the Rules by NavPress, which outlines positive approaches to parenting today’s teenagers. Her enthusiasm for helping others navigate social media led to her taking a post at Social Media Marketing World. Connie’s mission is to equip moms to live their life with confidence and joy.

Connie and her husband, Tom, have been married 35 years and have homeschooled their five children, all of whom continued their studies and graduated from the University of Central Florida. She is a speaker, a spokeswoman, an author, and owner of ConnieAlbers.com. Her latest venture is fulfilling her desire to equip women in their calling through her Equipped To Be ministry. The Albers family lives in Winter Garden, Florida.
