Fox Crossing Stringband is a dynamic lady-led bluegrass group that has been making waves in Chicago’s music scene for the past nine years. Founded by Despina Pafralides (guitar) and Cassie Lynn Wright (banjo/dobro), their sound is built on powerful original songwriting, fun cover selections, and captivating vocal harmonies.
Joined by Roman Niziolek (upright bass), Micah Vogel (fiddle), and Caleb Peters (mandolin), Fox Crossing pushes bluegrass boundaries. They seamlessly blend traditional bluegrass music with roots, folk, and Americana styles to create a unique and exciting live show.
With two albums, an ep, and hundreds of performances at festivals and events across the Midwest, Fox Crossing has built a devoted following and established themselves as a leading force in the bluegrass scene.

The Fred Velpel Trio is a fairly new group, but all the members of the band are veterans of the Fox Valley music scene. Fred Velpel (vocals/bass), Pat Stillman (guitar) and Adam Hatton (drums) playing a mix of blues, rock, and funk.
