About this Event
After the incredible response to the FSUK Conference, we’re so excited to be hosting another in-person community meet-up in London on Monday 8 June 2026.
For many women living with Fowler’s Syndrome, chronic urinary retention, and related bladder conditions, meeting another person with the condition simply never happens. These are often deeply isolating and misunderstood conditions, and many people spend years feeling completely alone in what they’re experiencing.
At our last meet-up, women who had never spoken to another person with Fowler’s Syndrome before were suddenly sitting together sharing stories, talking openly about catheterisation, treatment experiences, relationships, fear, frustration, and life beyond the condition. The sense of relief and connection in the room was extraordinary.
So we’re doing it again.
Join Fowler’s Syndrome UK for an informal and welcoming afternoon/evening in King’s Cross for women living with Fowler’s Syndrome, urinary retention, and related bladder conditions.
This is not a formal medical event or lecture. You’re welcome to drop in at any point between 4:30pm and 7:00pm, whether you stay for half an hour or the whole afternoon.
There will be tea, cake, conversation, and the chance to meet other women who genuinely understand what living with urinary retention is like, without needing to explain yourself.
Lisa, FSUK’s registered nurse, will be there alongside Dani, who runs the charity, and members of the FSUK community.
Whether you are:
• newly diagnosed
• still searching for answers
• catheterising
• considering treatment options
• managing chronic symptoms
• or have been living with Fowler’s Syndrome for years
You are very welcome.
As part of the afternoon, we’ll also be discussing FSUK’s new care algorithm and best-practice pathway for Fowler’s Syndrome and chronic urinary retention. This is a chance for women with lived experience to directly shape the future of care. Feedback from the session will be taken back to clinicians and incorporated into ongoing work around improving treatment pathways and standards of care.
Attendees will also be able to pick up:
• FSUK posters for GP surgeries
• “Just Can’t Wait” bladder cards
• Helpline information cards
• Information leaflets and resources to share with healthcare professionals, friends, family, or workplaces
If you can’t attend in person, please email [email protected] to be involved in the discussion on 3 June, where we’ll also be discussing the care algorithm and future priorities for care. We also have upcoming webinars on self-catheterisation and pelvic floor physiotherapy.
We hope these smaller in-person gatherings will help more women access support, information, friendship, and community.
Because nobody should have to navigate this condition alone.
We’ll also have a Fowler’s Fox Photo Corner with Polaroids available if you’d like to take photos or memories home from the afternoon.
FSUK will take photos during the event to share on social media, our website, or future community materials. We understand that many people may prefer not to be photographed, and we completely respect this. If you would prefer not to appear in any event photography, please let a member of the FSUK team know when you arrive and we will ensure this is respected.
