Fourth of July Pub Crawl & Hot Dog Eating Contest

The CrawlSF crew is renowned for hosting epic celebrations, and this July 4th promises to be bigger and better than ever. Before heading out to your favorite spot to watch the San Francisco Independence Day Fireworks, start things off early at the best 4th of July Pre-party in the city. The event will include drink specials, Djs, a hot dog eating contest, a pie eating contest, party favors, free admission to all bars and, of course, the infamous Find the Gnome Contest.

On Saturday, July 4, 2026, dive into the patriotic spirit from 4PM to 10PM as the Marina District comes alive with a big dose of patriotic fun. Whether you're gearing up for the spectacular San Francisco fireworks show later that evening, craving a full day of holiday fun or simply want the perfect excuse to rock your stars & stripes outfit around town, this is the best place to celebrate.

Your adventure begins at Rick & Roxy’s (2125 Lombard Street). Check in and grab your wristbands, pub crawl maps and some fun party swag to get the celebration started right. After you are checked in, cruise around The Marina to bars like Westwood, Union Street Ale House, Silver Cloud, White Rabbit, Palm House, The Blue Light, Jaxson and many more. Each stop brings new drink deals, great music and that classic Fourth of July energy. After throwing back a few drinks, head back to Jaxson for the Annual Hot Dog Eating Contest and Pie Eating Contest.

Can you eat hot dogs like a champ? The San Francisco Hot Dog Eating Contest could be your chance to prove you’re the city’s top dog (eater). Contestants will face off at Jaxson to crown the Hot Dog Eating Champion of San Francisco.

If you are more into sweet than savory, no worries! The Pie Eating Contest may be more to your liking. Whether you’re watching from the crowd or diving into a pie, this is a fun way to celebrate the 4th.
