Join us for the show opening of "Chasing the Light" by Sarah Zobrist as we kickoff our 2026 Season! Chasing the Light is an immersive exhibition exploring our shared human longing for light—for hope, clarity, and meaning—amid moments of shadow. Inspired by the way sunlight breaks through clouds across the Illinois skyline and farmland, these resin-on-canvas works capture fleeting intersections of sky and earth, heaviness and illumination. Layers of resin create depth and movement, inviting viewers to linger as light seems to emerge, recede, and return again. Just as we all seek light in our own lives, artists, too, are forever chasing it—studying how it shifts, transforms, and reveals what might otherwise go unseen. This exhibit is designed as a sensory experience, pairing visual art with music to create space for reflection, presence, and quiet discovery as viewers move through each piece and consider where light is finding them.Artist talk at 6:30.
