Two Day Pickleball Tournament at Garber Courts August 22nd and 23rd. There is also a Health Expo on Saturday August 22nd from 10am to 1pm.
Pulse3 Central Michigan University, a non-profit is hosting a tournament to raise funds and awareness for cardiac health in the Great Lakes Bay area of Michigan. We use the money raised by this event to place AED’s in our community, train school systems on the use of AED’s and educate on our community on heart health and wellness. We are hosting our fourth annual Pickleball Tournament and Health Expo Powered by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan. We will host 300 participants, their friends and family as well as all those that will attend our Health Expo. The entire event will see well over 2.000+ people over the two day event. We will also have three learn to play and teaching courts.
Last year’s Hearts and Paddles Pickleball Tournament and Health Expo had 260 participants and 40 Health Expo vendors. Over $43,000 was raised last year for cardiovascular wellness in our region. $83,000 has been raised to date. Below is some coverage the tournament received. The first year we had 84 participants the 2nd year 224 player and raised $20,000. We hope to continue to grow the event each year!
