Event Structure
* Pods of four players when possible
* Three rounds
* 80-minute rounds
* Points-based scoring system
* Prizes awarded based on total points earned
Players may change decks between rounds.
Gameplay Rules
Commander Reveal
Commanders are revealed at the first draw step of the game.
Life Totals
Life totals are rounded up to the nearest even number and halved at the start of each upkeep.
Scooping
* Players may scoop only at sorcery speed
* If a player scoops due to inevitable elimination, the eliminating player still receives the elimination point
Command Zone Advantage
Any commander that generates value or can be cast, activated, or put onto the battlefield from the command zone without paying its normal mana cost receives a -1 point penalty each game it is used.
This includes (but is not limited to):
* Abilities that trigger while in the command zone
* Activated abilities from the command zone
* Static or continuous effects from the command zone
* Alternative casting or methods that bypass normal casting rules
This penalty applies once per game and is determined by the card’s rules text, not player intent.
Event staff may make final determinations on edge cases before the game begins.
End of Round Procedure
When time is called:
1. The active player finishes their turn (Turn 0)
2. The next player in turn order receives the final turn
* If a player wins during this turn, the game ends immediately
* If no player wins, the game ends in a draw
* Each player receives 1 point for a draw
* No life gain effects may be used after time is called
Combo Wins
If a player wins via combo while multiple players remain:
* That player receives 1st place points
* Remaining players continue playing for placement
* Eliminations before the combo resolve still count
* Bonus achievements must be completed before the combo resolves

* 1st – 4 points
* 2nd – 3 points
* 3rd – 2 points
* 4th – 1 point
* Draw – 1 point each

Bonus Achievements
First Blood (Non-Commander)
+1 point First player to deal combat damage to an opponent
Commander First Blood
+1 point First player to deal combat damage with their commander
Board Diversity
+1 point
Control four or more nonland permanents with different card types.

* Artifact
* Enchantment
* Planeswalker
* Battle
* Saga
Clarifications:
* Each permanent must be a different type
* Multitype cards count as one type of your choice
* Tokens count
* Must be controlled simultaneously
Save a Player from Elimination
+1 point (once per round)
Best Sportsmanship
+1 point
Awarded for positive gameplay and table conduct If tied, the point goes to the first eliminated player
Commander Commitment
+1 point (once per game) Cast your commander 5 or more times in a game
Penalties
Fast K*ll Penalties
* Turn 1 elimination: -3 points
* Turn 2 elimination: -2 points
* Turn 3 elimination: -1 point
Gameplay Penalties
* -1 point:
* Looping the same permanent 3+ times
* Non-token permanent entering 3+ times via the same loop
* Each extra turn taken
Land Destruction
* -8 points: Destroying 50% or more of a player’s lands
* -10 points: Destroying all lands on the battlefield
Conduct Penalties
* -10 points: Interfering with a game you are not playing in
Take-Backs
* -1 point per occurrence
* Maximum -2 points per game
* Applies after priority, phase, or turn has passed
Conduct
Players are expected to:
* Be respectful to players and staff
* Avoid interfering with other games
* Maintain a reasonable pace of play
Spectators may observe but may not influence gameplay
