The 9th District's "Annual Four Chaplains Memorial Service", commemorating the Anniversary of the Four Chaplains' heroic and unselfish act aboard the U.S. Army Transport Dorchester in 1943.
This year, in 2023, we celebrate the 80th Anniversary of the Four Chaplains, and we remember and honor their memories.
Four Chaplains:
Lt. George Fox, a Methodist;
Lt. Alexander Goode, a Jewish Rabbi;
Lt. John Washington, a Roman Catholic Priest;
and Lt. Clark Poling, a Dutch Reformed minister.
