Every October, McLendon-Chisholm comes together to celebrate the moment our community officially became a city. On Saturday, October 17, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., residents, families, local businesses, organizations, and visitors will gather for the City's 57th Annual Founders Day celebration—a full day of live music, delicious food, shopping, family activities, and community pride.
Founders Day commemorates the City's incorporation on October 18, 1969, and has grown into one of McLendon-Chisholm's most anticipated annual traditions. More than just a festival, it's a community-wide homecoming that celebrates the people, businesses, and organizations that make our city a wonderful place to live.
