Founders Day 2024

Join us for presentations from students participating in a broad range of experiential entrepreneurship courses and programs to learn how they’re applying their education to creatively solve real problems. Learn about innovative projects to develop new products, test new business concepts and launch and operate real businesses.

This year will feature the MVP Challenge demo day with 15 projects from classes and labs across the University of Minnesota sharing their prototypes to solve significant social, medical/health, environmental and manufacturing problems. Additionally, students from experiential entrepreneurship courses will share their new products and startup companies.

Carlson School Dean Jamie Prenkert and Libraries Dean Lisa German will welcome everyone to Walter Library and the Toaster Innovation Hub. Atland Ventures will once again welcome their investors and alumni founders, as they share their progress with their student-owned venture capital firm.

The event will also announce entrepreneurship student/faculty awards and recognize Michael Ramlet as the 2024 University of Minnesota Entrepreneur of the Year. Michael will share his story of building Morning Consult into a global decision intelligence company changing how modern leaders make smarter, faster, better decisions.
