Theme: Moving Forward with a Multigenerational Celebration
Join us this June as Pilgrim Baptist Church celebrates 163 years of faithful service to our Lord and Saviour! Throughout the month, we will honor the rich history of Pilgrim and celebrate the generations that continue to shape our church family and community.
Each Sunday in June will feature recognition of important aspects of Pilgrim’s history, including:
✨ Our youth: the future leaders of the church
✨ Young adults: today’s leaders
✨ Members who have faithfully served for more than 50 years
✨ Individuals from Pilgrim’s past whose impact reached the national level
📅 Culmination Celebration: Fourth Sunday in June
🎤 Guest Preacher: Minister JaNaé Bates Imari
🍽 Fellowship meal immediately following morning worship service
Minister JaNaé Bates Imari serves as co-director for ISAIAH Minnesota, a multi-racial, multi-faith statewide coalition committed to racial and economic equity. She is also an associate minister at Camphor Memorial United Methodist Church in St. Paul, MN, specializing in grassroots faith-based organizing and narrative strategy. With more than a decade of experience in ministry, social justice, and communications, Minister Bates Imari brings a powerful and inspiring message for this special occasion.
Founders' Day Offering
Members and friends are invited to participate in the celebration by contributing **$1 for each year of Pilgrim’s service, $163.** Offerings may be given on the fourth Sunday in June or at a time that best fits your finances.
