This course is designed to cover the foundations of creating a magical practice. This includes things like:
-Awareness - taking note of your energy, your surroundings and subtle shifts in one or both, how to see and feel without expectation
-Focus - the ability to pay attention, stay aware and act with purpose
-Intention/Energy - clearing your mind of presets and clutter to see, in extreme detail, the outcome that you want and direct energy to the outcome
-Willpower- harnessing your power and building self-confidence without Ego, learning to challenge yourself to gain knowlege and to understand that all energy and life is interconnected
-Magical Hygiene - Cleansing, Grounding, Warding/Protecting and Banishing
Understanding and building these foundations will help you work your magic, better, faster and easier. It will help you decide if a tradition or path is a good fit for you or if you will move forward and create your own, distinct brand of magic.
This course is designed for everyone at any level of magical knowledge or practice, any tradition or path. These concepts can apply to all occult practices. Through discussion, practical exercises and examples, you can build a solid foundation where your magic can grow and thrive.
Facilitator: Ariane, Owner of Obskurah Bazaar, is a Spiritist/Medium of 30+ years, an initiated priestess of Oshun in the Lukumi Orisha tradition and lineage of Efunshe Warikondo (Na Rosalia Abreu) and Yayi Nkisi in the Palo Mayombe lineage of Campo Santo. At the heart of her practices, Ariane is an Animist and believes that objects, places, and creatures all possess a distinct spiritual essence. Animism perceives all things—animals, plants, rocks, rivers, weather systems, human handiwork, and in some cases words—as being animated, having agency and free will.

CANCELLATION POLICY: We want you to have the best experience possible. Keeping the student-to-teacher ratio small allows you the time and attention you need to have the greatest success. NO REFUNDS will be offered for this class for any reason. This includes if you fail to attend the workshop. Transferring your ticket is available BUT you must email [email protected] to confirm to whom you are transferring your ticket no later than Fri July 26. Should the person you transferred your ticket to fail to show for the class, no refund will be given.
EXCEPTION: If Obskurah Bazaar cancels the course, for any reason and at their discretion, full refunds will be given within 72 hours of notice of cancellation.
