Handpan Workshop + Sound Immersion
Join us for an immersive evening devoted to rhythm, resonance, and exploration.
Foundations of Flow is a beginner-friendly, hands-on handpan workshop designed to introduce you to the instrument in an accessible and empowering way. Whether you’re brand new or looking to deepen your relationship with the handpan, this experience offers both structure and spaciousness.
Guided instruction will explore:
• The origins and anatomy of the handpan
• Foundational playing technique and tone clarity
• Rhythm and groove building
• Melodic phrasing and intuitive flow
• Group integration and collaborative exploration
Participants are encouraged to bring their own handpans if they have them. Instrument sharing will be coordinated to ensure everyone has an opportunity to play.
To complete the evening, we will transition into a collaborative sound immersion featuring live handpan and crystal singing bowls. Alison Zavaleta will offer direct musical support alongside Stevan during this closing integration, creating a layered and immersive sound experience that allows participants to receive, soften, and fully absorb the resonance cultivated throughout the workshop.

Instructor Bio:

Stevan Morris is the founder of Hamsa Handpans and the visionary behind the Pantasia Handpan Gathering. Since 2014, he has been crafting professional-grade handpans with a deep devotion to tuned steel, resonance, and precision.
A respected figure within the global handpan community, Stevan is known not only for the quality of his instruments, but for the integrity and intention he brings to the art of sound. Each handpan he creates is designed as a vessel, responsive, expressive, and alive with tone.
Through Hamsa Handpans and Pantasia, Stevan has cultivated spaces where musicians, players, and seekers gather to celebrate rhythm, creativity, and connection. As an instructor, he offers clear foundational guidance while encouraging intuitive exploration, helping students build confidence and discover their own flow within the instrument.
