About this Event
Welcome to the Foundations of Faith Community Nursing and Health Ministry Course! Join us for an engaging and informative ten-session event starting on Mon Oct 20 2025 at 08:00 AM Pacific Daylight Time, with sessions held each Monday and Tuesday from 0800 - 12:30 PM through Tuesday, November 18, 2025. All sessions are required for successful course completion. This course is designed to equip actively licensed registered nurses with the necessary skills and knowledge to use their nursing expertise to serve their communities. This same course is open to individuals without healthcare expertise but who have a passion to serve in a high-impact ministry as health ministers. Don't miss out on this opportunity to learn and grow! Register now! The course will be on Zoom with an in-person graduation on Sunday, November 23, 2025 from 2p-4p for those who can attend. Course costs includes four books and an application for 40 nursing contact hours will be submitted prior to course start.
LIMITED SCHOLARSHIPS ARE AVAILABLE FOR OREGON RESIDENTS UPON REQUEST. CONTACT [email protected].
Class attendance policy: The FCHN will be applying for ANCC contact hours for the Foundaitons of Faith Community Nursing. Due to ANCC requirements, students must attend all classes. The course is highly interactive, and we cannot excuse students except in the case of emergencies (illness, attendance at funerals for next of kin) In those cases, we will allow a student to make up no more than three modules by viewing recordings and/or completing assignments related to those modules. The status of FCN will not be granted unless the student meets these attendance requirements. Please do not register for the course if you’re unable to attend all 10 sessions.
This Foundations of Faith Community Nursing course is based on the 2024 curriculum developed through the Westberg Institute for Faith Community Nursing, which curriculum is owned by the Spiritual Care Association of New York, NY, 500 7th Ave, 8th Floor, New York, NY 10018
