Foundations of Drawing Summer Camp
Time: 11AM to 1PM
When: Monday, July 22nd thru Thursday, July 25th
Where: HIVE artspace at 126 East King Street
Instructor: Kate Rush
Aspiring artists ages 8 to 12 are invited to join Kate from Kate Rush Art to learn about the foundations of drawing during this immersive summer camp experience.
Campers will learn about basic skills such as shading, composition and perspective as well as the various art materials including paper, drawing pencils, erasers and learn how to use a sketchbook as a creative tool.
Each camper will have the opportunity to put the skills to practice with daily drawing exercises. We will end the week by creating a still life drawing.
Each camper will receive a sketchbook and a set of drawing pencils with simple tools to take their drawings to another level.
Ages: 8 to 12
Cost: $125 (including all materials)
Pre-registration is required to hold a space for your camper. Tickets are available via Eventbrite.
In order to provide the best instruction possible, there are only 8 spaces available for this camp.

What to know:
Drop off time is between 10:45 and 11AM with camp stating promptly at 11AM.
Camp will end at 1PM. Please pick your camper up no later than 1:15PM
Meter parking for HIVE artspace is available along the street within the Royal Square District.
Campers may bring a drink along with them in a container with a lid.
