FOUND SOUND | make music with field recordings
About this Event
Found Sound is a beginner-friendly workshop focused on creating music from field recordings and everyday sounds.
Using Ableton Live as a simple editing and arranging tool, participants will learn how to transform recordings collected from their surroundings into a short musical composition. The workshop will focus on listening, selecting, cutting, looping and layering sounds rather than on advanced production techniques.
The goal is to create a short piece using only recorded sounds as source material, no previous experience with Ableton is required. The approach is intentionally essential and DIY: we will work with a small set of tools and concentrate on creativity, experimentation and composition.
what to bring:
- Any recording device (portable recorder, smartphone, etc.)

- (optional) A laptop with the Ableton Live trial version installed
