Found Foliage Gelli Printing at St. Katharine Drexel Community Garden
About this Event
Create beautiful prints filled with texture and color in this Gelli Printing workshop with Locust Street Art! Gelli Printing is a type of monoprinting, where your print is created through layering on a squishy gelli plate. In this workshop, students will use found foliage from the garden to create funky new textures in their gelli printing adventures!
In our workshop series "Goin' and Growin'", students will get the chance to get outdoors and connect to nature while creating beautiful art along the way! This summer, LSA is partnering with Urban Farms and Community Gardens across the city of Buffalo to promote community based creativity and environmentally friendly art. From painting to photography, this series offers learning experiences for all ages!
All proceeds from this workshop series will go towards LSA's free community art class fund and the partnering Urban Farm or Community Garden. To learn more about Locust Street Art visit www.locuststreetart.org or email [email protected]
