Interested in a rewarding career that could change the lives of children and young people...

Come down to Buile Hill park to meet with our experienced Foster carers and the fostering team to discuss your options and answer any questions you have.

Now is a very exciting time to join Salford Fostering Service. We want young people to grow up in happy, stable homes in which they can flourish, ideally within the Salford area, however this is not essential, but you must have the ability to transport children to and from school, family time, training, and attend meetings.

We offer a highly supportive and nurturing environment which enables individuals to grow. We offer an excellent training package, support groups, fostering buddies, on call service, as well as 24hr urgent support, allocated supervising social worker, support workers, monthly newsletters, events such as panto, celebration events, development days, Christmas party, support groups for foster carers own children as well as competitive allowances recently reviewed and uplifted.

Our commitment to you:

Support is available from a variety of teams and services based upon the individual needs of the young person, R29, STARLAC – Extension of CAMHS, Virtual School, Missing from Home Team, Complex Safeguarding, Health, Next Steps, Cared for Childrens Team, support with internet safety, Youth Services, IRO, Independent Visitor and Childrens Rights. In addition to the above-mentioned the fostering services we also provide: Fostering Network membership for all approved foster carers FCA (Foster Care Associates) – advocacy and support service self-referred Blue light card membership Foster carer on call service Access to EDT (Emergency Duty Team), regular monthly supervision, specialist training, specialist workshops, women’s evening support group, men’s evening support and daytime support groups. Financial support for activities and equipment.
