Discoveries made by paleontologists continue to shed new light on the deep past of the planet and the creatures that arose here. MOR’s Presenting Prehistory Paleontology Speaker Series explores recent findings and current hypotheses as conveyed by scientists actively exploring how life on Earth has changed through time and what the fossils of extinct organisms can teach us about the world today.
For over thirty years, the bones of T. rex, Triceratops, and hundreds of other fossil specimens have been sectioned in the underground Paleohistology Laboratory at Museum of the Rockies. Join Histology Lab Manager Ellen-Thérèse Lamm to explore MOR’s history as one of the leading centers in the world for investigating fossils at the microscopic level. Learn how this ‘cutting-edge’ research has helped define our understanding of dinosaur growth, health, and behavior.
