Fossil Excursion, formerly Shark’s Tooth Creek Fossils, is one of the museum’s most popular summer field trips. We travel to the Black Belt of Alabama in search of vertebrate and invertebrate fossils from the Cretaceous Age. Participants should be prepared to get wet and muddy as we wed through shallow streams to collect sharks teeth and other marine fossils from streambed gravel deposits.
16 spaces available – $30/person
*All participants age 17 and under must be accompanied by an adult for all summer programs.
Meeting Location: Smith Hall (on The University of Alabama Campus)
To register, call 205-348-7550.
