The far-right is on the rise in Sydney and across Australia. The last month has seen large far right mobilisations opposing vaccinations, vaccine mandates and public health measures. This is fertile ground for the fascists who see the anti-vax protests as an opportunity to grow, and for far right politicians who see a chance to unite anti vaxxers, COVID conspiracists, QAnon followers and fascists in a reactionary Trump style movement.
It’s clear that the majority of people don’t share the anti-health and anti-human ideas of these protests. But just disagreeing with the far right is not going to stop them. We need to mobilise the majority and build a big and united movement on the streets to shut them down.
If you hate the far-right and want to take a stand against them, come along to the forum ‘The anti-vax far right: what it is and how to fight it”. There’ll be left wing politicians and long-term activists speaking and a lively discussion on how to fight the right and build an anti-fascist campaign
This is a COVID-safe event:
- All attendees must be double-vaccinated, have their vaccine certificates, and check-in
- Attendees must wear masks
- We will observe social-distancing
