FORUM: After the Colombian elections: Prospects for democracy and human rights.
With Gabriel Cifuentes, Green Alliance candidate for Congress in Bogota in the recent elections, based in Colombia. A video featuring Cifuentes talking about the recent elections will be presented to the meeting.

After the first round of the Colombian presidential elections on May 29, hopes are high for real change in the conflict-torn country, with the progressive Historic Pact team of Gustavo Petro and Francia Marquez leading the poll with over 40 per cent.   Gustavo Petro and Francia Marquez are long term human rights activists.
The run-off election on June 19 between Historic Pact and the misnamed, right-wing Anti-Corruption League, will decide if Colombia can enter a new era of democracy and human rights or not.
Speakers will assess the final election result, and prospects for a radical future for Colombia.   Meeting face-to-face and on zoom.
