Fortismere Half Term Camp Dance Jazz, Tap Musical Theatre Age 6-12

Johanna is a professionally trained musical theatre performer From Northern Ireland who graduated from The Urdang Academy, London. Before making the move to London Johanna trained as a Champion Irish Dancer for 13 years, dancing all over the world, before transferring those skills into the tap and musical theatre world throughout her training in London. Along side her Irish Dancing she trained as a classical and musical theatre singer and actress and tread the boards in the musical theatre scene in Belfast for many years, performing in theatres all around the North of Ireland including The Grand Opera House, Belfast. On top of being a performer herself Johanna has a huge passion for teaching the budding performers of tomorrow and has over 10 years teaching experience, working with both kids and adults of all abilities, in all 3 main disciplines of performing arts. Each day the children will explore different styles of dance with an emphasis on ballet and tap. Children will work on technique, dance routines and choreography, as well as projects designed to encourage creativity when story telling through dance. The participants will work towards final pieces and will be given plenty of time to interact with others and make lasting friendships! Leaders are professional performers with a background in theatre and dance.
