CHILDREN’S BUSINESS FAIR · FORT LAUDERDALE
Saturday, December 5, 2026 · 11am to 2pm
Museum of Discovery and Science Atrium · 401 SW 2nd St, Fort Lauderdale
Free and open to everyone (does not include Museum admission)
Come shop from about 75 young entrepreneurs, ages 5 to 14. Each one dreamed up a business, made the product, and set the price. On December 5 they set up a table and open for business.
Last year’s fair had lemonade stands, art prints, a photo booth, homemade sweets, and a boutique. Every year brings new ideas nobody has tried before.
This year the fair is run by three co-directors, teenagers from Acton Academy Fort Lauderdale who previously participated and now are learning what it takes to put on a world-class event for young people. You’ll meet them at the welcome and the awards.
Three awards given at the end of the day in each age group: Highest Business Potential, Standout Seller, and Quick Thinker.
A few tips for your visit:
🛍 Bring small bills. Cash makes every sale easy.
💬 Ask questions. Every seller has a story about how the business started.
🚗 Park in the garage next to the museum.
The fair is hosted by Acton Academy Fort Lauderdale as part of the Acton Children’s Business Fair, held in cities across the country and around the world. This is our seventh year in Fort Lauderdale.
