Forsyth County Homeless Veterans Stand Down

The Department of Veterans Affairs Winston-Salem Regional Office is partnering with Goodwill Industries of Northwest North Carolina in Winston-Salem to host a Homeless Veterans Stand Down.

This will be a one-stop for Homeless Veteran’s needs, providing services such as clothing, toiletry kits, haircuts, showers, laundry services, job services, VA healthcare enrollment, legal services, and much more.

This is your chance to sit down one-on-one with claims processors who can help you file claims for Veteran and survivor benefits, give updates on pending claims, and answer questions about your prior claims and additional benefits you may be entitled to.

Other services available include a VA hiring booth, the VA Mobile Vet Center, Veteran Readiness and Employment, along with other community Veteran resources.

Veterans are encouraged to bring their DD-214 or VA ID.
