? What is Forró Project Party + Workshop?
Forró Project Party + Workshop is a monthly event and cozy social dance evening that aims to promote forró in Stockholm and expand its community.
? What is forró?
Forró is a couple dance and a genre of music that originated in northeast Brazil and has evolved to include many different musical beats and dance styles. In the beginning, forró was associated with the working class. However, it is now very much international.
? Why should you visit us?
Nothing like a good forró party to dance, listen to great music by a talented DJ, meet old friends, make new ones, and have a great time on a Friday evening. You should definitely visit us.
? Never danced forró?
Do not miss our dance workshop at the beginning of every event.
? Do not have a dance partner?
It is very common in forró parties to come without a dance partner. We pair up during the workshop, and we dance with everyone at the parties.
