Charles Aznavour, an exceptional worldwide career.

An inaudible voice and a difficult physique, that's how acerbic critics described Charles Aznavour's early career, but the public was never wrong. Success after success, the public's unfailing support brought him to the top of the bill.

Aznavour became friends with Charles Trenet and Edith Piaf. The "Môme" took him to the United States before performing in Montreal. From Ray Charles to Fred Astaire and Shirley Bassey to Bing Crosby, great American artists covered his hits, giving them international resonance.

Back in France, Charles Aznavour performed at the Alhambra and then at the Olympia in 1954. The public was definitely won over.

Author of more than 800 songs, the greatest international stars flocked to sing alongside him. In 2017, his international career was consecrated by a star on the "Walk of Fame" on Hollywood Boulevard, in Los Angeles, in the "Live Performance" category.

A privileged witness to our daily lives, he has always been an enlightened observer of our society. An accomplished artist, he still seems to have no equal when it comes to interpreting love and immortalizing the passing of time, his two favorite themes.
