Love welding with SkillSet and excited to learn more?

In Form, Function, and Fabrication, students will gain valuable experience in welding a project for use in real life by the public. We will practice designing to specification and completing the project as a team. This will be a fantastic camp for returning SkillSet students who are seeking start to finish design experience, and want to gain valuable skills that are transferable to future career opportunities.

Financial Aid is available to families in need.

Accessibility notes

• The majority of our studio is not climate controlled.
• Students will be exposed to a frequently dusty space with loud machinery.
• Parts of this workshop may be held in a computer lab, which is only accessible by one flight of stairs.

* Our goal is to serve under-resourced communities, female-identified, and gender expansive students to help bridge the gender gap in STEAM fields and trades, and create excitement and curiosity around these fields. We ask families to understand that there is limited space in our classes, and know that we welcome students of all genders and demographics.

SkillSet offers after school workshops, summer camps, classes for adult learners, and community outreach programming.

By teaching participants the Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math embedded in the objects they create, SkillSet equips the next generation of leaders and problem solvers with the tools to make change and build the future.
