Clear your diary because The Tuning Fork have announced June's line up for Fork N Funny.It's fast becoming Tāmaki Makaurau’s favourite downtown comedy event. Each month The Tuning Fork gathers up their favourite comedians from throughout Aotearoa, hosting them for one night of raucous live comedy.
June's line up includes the hilarious Cori Gonzalez-Macuer, Nick Rado (MC), Bec Sandys and Angella Dravid!
For the better part of 20 years, Cori Gonzalez-Macuer has been performing his unique brand of self-deprecating, observational, deadpan comedy. Winning the Billy T James award in 2006, he has gone on to become a regular on 7 Days, one of the stars of “What We Do In The Shadows”, and tour internationally. Since becoming a father, Cori's truly happy for the first time ever, but that doesn't mean he’s stopped disliking a lot of stuff. Join him as he dissects the people he desperately hopes his daughter doesn't turn into.
Could there be a more qualified MC than Nick Rado? He’s the four-time winner of the NZ Comedy Guild Award for 'Best Comedy MC', who is also a guest comedian, panelist and head writer for TV3’s topical news comedy show 7 Days!
Bec Sandys brand of brutally honest storytelling has seen her perform along the likes of Urzila Carlson, Rhys Darby and Justine Smith. Bec is a part of the Alternative Commentary Collective team and also had a stint on The Project as Whip Around reporter. Using a colourful palette of life experiences, she paints a picture of life as it truly is: up and down, absurd, and bloody funny.
Rounding off Fork N Funny’s line up is Angela Dravid! A familiar face, Dravid won the Billy T Award in 2017, and has featured in local tv and movies such as The Breaker Upperers, Funny Girls, Jono and Ben, Creamerie, Taskmaster NZ, Golden Boy and Sis!
