Storytellers Reading + Community Dialogue

Date: Sunday, July 19, 2026
Time: 3:30 PM – 5:00 PM
Location: Just Book-ish, 1463 Dorchester Ave, Dorchester, MA

Following the powerful launch of FORESYTHE: Midwifery + The Black Birthing Family this April, we invite you to gather with us for a continued afternoon of storytelling, reflection, and community dialogue.

This intimate event will feature live readings from Birthlooms Storytellers and anthology contributors, centering the voices, memories, and lived experiences of Black birthing families, midwives, doulas, and perinatal practitioners across Massachusetts.

Through storytelling and shared witnessing, we will hold space for intergenerational reflection, reproductive justice, and collective care, honoring the ongoing living archive of Black birthing life and legacy.

Featuring 3 our Birthlooms Stroytellers:
Priscilla Andrade

Joelle Fontaine

Ebere Oparaeke

Guests will have the opportunity to listen, reflect, and engage in conversation with featured storytellers, deepening connection to the narratives that continue to shape this work.

This gathering is part of the Birthlooms Storytellers Circle Series, a seasonal series of offerings rooted in remembrance, storytelling, and community care.

Come be in community. Come witness. Come hold these stories with us.
