Go wild in the woods with our popular Forest School!
Rowntree Park Forest School runs in 'blocks' of sessions through the year (each half term).
Based in the woodland at Rowntree Park the group offers fun nature-based activities for under 5s. We are excited to be able to offer some spaces starting this September!
Children explore the woodland through games, stories and activities. Sessions can include nature-based arts and crafts, use of hand tools such as drills and saws, campfire cooking and much more. Most sessions end with a campfire, hot chocolate and marshmallows (or alternatives).
Children benefit from the long term nature of forest school, exploring the woodland’s changes with the seasons and developing relationships with each other and nature. All run by our fully qualified forest school practitioner and key park volunteer, Christine.
