Forest School on Rimrose Valley (Pre-School)

This session is for pre-school children, or home educated <6 years old.

Nature for HEART is a series of events and activities designed to get more and more people active on Rimrose Valley, connecting with each other and the park’s nature.

This is an exciting opportunity for children to enjoy FREE Forest School activities in the glorious setting of Rimrose Valley, funded by the National Lottery’s Awards for All programme.

Each session is being led by the team at My Outdoor Classroom who have been delivering Forest School events to children on the park for several years.

Sessions include:

· Child-led free play in nature

· Den building and various games

· Hammocks, swings and climbing trees

· Forest school earth arts & natural crafts

· Camp fire snacks

· Nature connection and education

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Meeting point: Our volunteers will meet you at the Eden Drive South entrance before being taken to the location by those leading the session on the day.

Age group: This session is for pre-school children, or home educated <6 years old. A parent or guardian must stay with their child.

Weather: Apart from extreme weather, these sessions WILL go ahead come rain or shine, so please dress appropriately. Please ensure children wear closed toe shoes, long trousers and long sleeves. Please bring your own water/drinks if needed. You will be notified in advance if the session is to be cancelled.

Number of places: These are limited to 20 children per session (no need to book a place for parent/guardian), so please book your ticket ASAP to avoid disappointment using this Eventbrite link only. Bookings are limited to a max of 2 x children per person so as many people as possible can take part.

If you can no longer make it: Even though these sessions are free to attend, there is a cost to put them on. If you are no longer able to make it, please cancel your place(s) to allow others to attend. We don’t want to waste a penny of our National Lottery funding.

Travel: Please come on foot, bike or public transport, wherever possible. If you have to come by car, parking is limited at this entrance which is in a residential area, so please park respectfully.
