About this Event

Come join us for a ceremony in the forest to celebrate the New Moon in Virgo. It is the final moon cycle of the summer season and it’s the perfect time to fully embrace Virgo season’s vibe by turning over a new leaf in your life and making some wellness-centered plans for the future. Virgo being an Earth sign is all about decluttering your space and life, getting organized and paying attention to details. We’re ready to make something special out of our work, routines, or tasks. It’s a powerful time to transform our jobs, health, self-care programs, and habits.

We will begin the ceremony with a grounding meditation by Ami to really help root down our intentions and let go of anything that is not serving us, so we can welcome the new. We will start by grounding into our roots, feeling the stability and security of our architecture. Then rising up to the depths of our sensuous water body, the flow of communication from our inner feeling world. Igniting the fire of our passions; our pumping hearts, releasing what we do not need and blooming into the outer world like a proud flower, opening up to the radiant sun. Then we set our hearts free like birds, swirling, dancing and playing with each other throughout the lightness of the airy sky. Weaving all the elements together, into our authentic nature, dancing our innermost truths to be witnessed. Lastly, coming back down to the earth, to feel the spaciousness we have created together in our bodies, into a cooling Savasana. This will be followed by a chakra clearing sound bath with Ami and we will end the blissful afternoon with a closing circle and journaling.

About the Facilitators:

Samantha Hope (Sensing Ventures: Elemental Dance Meditation) is passionate about creating safe ritual spaces for play, dance and reconnecting to one's true wild nature through all the senses. She has been studying Dance Movement Therapy through West Coast Dance Movement Therapy, 5 Rhythms, Butoh, and other embodied training for the past five years. She is currently training in the Tantric Arts and focused on the sociology of sexuality in her BA. She has her 200 hour teacher training in Yoga through Karma Yoga Studios, and a Nature Moves Certificate through the EAT program out of Colorado, USA. Her passion is to guide people back to their internal power & authentic selves. Samantha believes that through the rediscovery of listening to the body's communication, one can release stagnant energy & negative mental patterns, allowing for the natural rhythms and flow to return.

Ami Bajwa (NirvanAmi Yoga & Wellness) is a yoga, meditation and wellness practitioner on a mission to help provide relaxation and rest to her students. She teaches Yin yoga, Yoga Nidra & Restorative practices along with slow flow/hatha yoga and Pranayama (breathing exercises) that help activate the parasympathetic nervous system. She always leads and ends her class with guided/sound meditation and poetry - practicing all 8 limbs of yoga (vs only the Asanas).

She is a sound ceremonialist and combines crystal singing bowls, Tibetan bowls, chimes and other music instruments to lead her clients into a deep state of relaxation. She is also a Reiki master. Her practice is exactly like a bowl of Indian curry - with an explosion of different physical, emotional, mental and spiritual practices that have helped her in her own healing journey. All bodies, ages are welcome to her classes, and you do not have to be “fit” to join her classes. She aims to nourish her students with compassion, metta loving kindness and her positive energy.

You can reach her at www.nirvanami.com or @nirvanami.yoga.wellness on IG/FB
