On May 10th, Bi+ Pride Milwaukee will be hosting a historic walk through Forest Home Cemetery. While this is hosted by Bi+ Pride Milwaukee, all who are interested in local history are encouraged to attend. Led by local history enthusiast and research nerd David Kaye, this tour will visit 13 graves and memorials. We will learn about history making politicians, beer barons, abolitionists, inventors and some of the areas darker days. .
We will meet across from the main office by the corner of Forest Home and West Lincoln Avenue. Gathering starts at 9:45 and the tour starts promptly at 10:00.
The tour will happen rain or shine. Good walking shoes are strongly recommended, and depending on the forecast, so are raincoats and umbrellas.
As a violence trigger warning, this tour will include talk of Wisconsin’s only lynching.
