Join the Center of Science and Industry (COSI), Explora, and the U.S. Forest Service for an afternoon of fun, hands-on forest activities at the library!Participants will receive a “learning lunchbox.” With support from the US Forest Service, COSI and the Forest Service co-developed the Forest Kit- COSI’s newest Learning Lunchbox. This kit contains 5 activities designed to connect youth and families to the natural world through STEM. The kit encourages curiosity about how forest work, from tree lifecycles to fire management, while building awareness of the rol public lands play in our daily lives. Each Forest Kit includes an activity guide and materials for all activities. The Forest Kit also highlights and explains how many Tribal Nations play a critical role in the preservation and management of our National Forests.
