Immerse yourself in the Wetherby Edible Forest where you will connect with nature by becoming a part of it.
Mindfully stroll through this interconnected orchard ecosystem, finding and nibbling on thyme, oregano, lovage, yarrow, and rhubarb. It's a sensory journey that nourishes both the body and soul, tailored for people seeking a tranquil escape.
Forest therapy is a guided immersion in natural environments that promotes the well-being of both people and the land. Research highlights these numerous therapeutic benefits:
* Reduces stress, anxiety, depression, anger and pain
* Improves cognitive functioning, sleep quality, mood and creativity
* Boosts the immune system and regulates blood pressure
* Strengthens relationships and increases feelings of gratitude

THINGS TO BRING
If it is chilly, dress extra warm and bring a blanket. If it is wet or rainy, wear clothing to keep you warm and dry.

Emelia Sautter is a certified Nature and Forest Therapy Guide. She is the foundress of Good Medicine, a nature and forest therapy practice in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
LOCATION
We'll meet at the Wetherby Park Edible Forest: 2400 Taylor Dr, Iowa City. After parking in the lot, head west down the path and look for the forest.
