Forest Bathing Experience with Kim Ainis

This three-hour forest bathing, also known as forest therapy, experience will be a slow, gentle, guided walk in nature. It is an opportunity to unwind in a peaceful and beautiful setting with a series of invitations, or prompts, that are designed to help you settle your mind and body, awaken your senses, and deepen your connection to yourself, others, and to the water, trees, and natural world around us. The walk will be no more than 1.5 miles. There will be times when we will walk or sit quietly alone and times when we will gather in community.
We will begin our morning by meeting at the Discovery Center at 9:00 am for a brief introduction. Then we’ll ride together in the Discovery Center program van to Beaver Creek Hemlocks Conservation Area.
We will conclude our time together with tea made from local spruce or white pine trees as well as snacks. I hope to see you there for this unique and nurturing experience!
Kim Ainis is a certified Nature and Forest Therapy Guide.
