What up doe Detroit 🧡We're outside this season — but with purpose.
FORCE Detroit has a lot coming up, and all of it is rooted in the same thing: community, young people, safety, opportunity, and making sure our people have access to what they need to win.
First up — we are opening the doors to our new FORCE Detroit Program Office on June 3 at 7310 Woodward Ave., Suite 415.
And let’s be clear, this is not just an office. This is a space for the work. A space for young people. A space for healing. A space for strategy. A space for storytelling. A space where community-centered solutions can live, grow, and move.
Before that, we’re kicking off with the CVI Flag Football Championship Game + Resource Fair on May 22 — bringing community, youth, resources, food, music, and real connection together in one space.
Then on May 30, we’ll be out for our Community Clean-Up, because we don’t just talk about safe and thriving neighborhoods — we show up and help build them.
And on June 10–11, FORCE Detroit will be in Lansing for CVI Advocacy Day, standing with partners and community violence intervention leaders to push for real investment in community-led public safety.
Because public safety is not just what happens after harm.
Public safety is a young person having somewhere to go.
Public safety is access to resources.
Public safety is a clean block.
Public safety is opportunity.
Public safety is healing.
Public safety is community having what it needs before crisis shows up.
So yes, we have a lot going on — and we need you in it.
