About this Event
Join us for a sensory journey on May 26 (rain date: May 27) at 2 pm at Point Pleasant Park for a Foraging Walk with Zonghua Ai! Smell, hear, watch, and touch nature (lick optional, under supervision). The Forgaing Walk will be 2 hours long and there will be a limit of 15 participants. Masks are required and will be provided.
We will meet at the lower parking lot next to the Shakespeare by the Sea building at 2 pm and wait 10 minutes for all participants to join before starting the walk. During the walk, Zee will guide participants through a route that blends city walks, high-traffic trails and somewhat quiet trails while talking about responsible foraging guidelines. Zee will also highlight specific sites such as the St. Aspinquid's chapel, on the intersection of Serpentine Rd and Maple Rd.
You can find the full route here: https://shorturl.at/ahOR3. Also, you can find an illustrated map of Point Pleasant Park showing washrooms, parking and tour sites here: https://shorturl.at/ltwR9. Please note there might be uneven and inclined paths on this route. We will add the elevation data for the route shortly.
Remember to wear layers in case it gets too warm or too cold, comfortable shoes such as sneakers or hiking shoes, and long pants that can be tucked into long socks. We recommend you bring sunscreen and bug spray.
