Foraging is fantastic fun–health and nutrition can as easily be found outside of your door as along any hiking path. Join expert forager Douglas Kent for an inspiring presentation on grazing throughout Southern California. Doug will cover the 6 primary threats to personal health, the techniques used to protect ecological health, and the most commonly found edible greens, fruits, flowers, seeds, roots and sources of protein. Doug has been working in California’s landscapes for over 40 years and teaching the techniques of foraging and wildcrafting at Cal Poly Pomona since 2008. Along with 6 other books, Doug is author of Foraging Southern California: 118 Nutritious, Tasty Edibles to Harvest in Bulk (Adventure Publications 2019).
This program is appropriate for adults.
Check out this review of Doug’s book HERE.
Foraging must be done with knowledge and consideration. Sign up for this dynamic class and then get outside and enjoy nature’s bounty.
No refunds on cancellations or no-shows.
