Join us on an evening stroll where you’ll gain basic skills to identify some tasty wild edible plants common in urban settings within the Greater Boston Area. We’ll focus on ethical and safe foraging practices as well as culinary and medicinal applications.
Note: Our foraging programs are led by knowledgeable guides and focus on the ecology of wild edibles and their vital role in the ecosystem and our food system. Consuming wild edibles on your own should be done at your own risk and discretion. It is your responsibility to ensure that you have accurately identified any plant before consuming it. If there are any doubts about the identification it is best not to eat it.
This program is available to all on a sliding scale fee.
Leland Cooperative Garden is located at 4 Leland St in Jamaica Plain, a short walk from the Forest Hills Orange Line Station.
