Foraging on the Farm
About this Event
Discover the edible treasures growing all around you.
Have you ever walked past edible plants without realizing they could be part of a delicious meal? Join us for a unique hands-on experience where you'll learn how to identify, responsibly forage, harvest, and prepare fresh foods straight from the farm.
During this interactive workshop, we'll explore the beautiful Bon Secours Urban Farm, searching for edible plants and seasonal ingredients growing throughout the space. Along the way, you'll learn basic foraging principles, sustainable harvesting practices, and how to safely identify common edible plants.
After gathering our harvest, we'll head back to the outdoor kitchen to prepare a simple, fresh, plant-based meal using the ingredients we've collected from the farm.
Whether you're curious about foraging, love cooking with fresh produce, or simply want to spend a relaxing morning outdoors, this experience offers a fun and meaningful way to connect with nature and your food.
