Benj Sinclair is local wildlife guide who has been living in Jackson Hole for the past 36 years. He holds degrees in wildlife ecology and zoology, and though he has been a life long naturalist, he only became seriously interested in mushrooms in 2023. He enjoys raising community awareness about wild mushrooms through public presentations and with the Facebook group he founded in 2023 called Teton Fungiphiles.
Mary Boeh was born in Northern Virginia and grew up exploring the mountains, woods, and streams of the Shenandoah Valley. After college, she worked for the National Park Service and USGS studying threatened and endangered species including Piping Plovers, Least Terns, and sea turtles. She met her future husband, Colin while working at Cape Hatteras in North Carolina. In 2013, she and Colin settled in Teton Valley, Idaho; drawn by the excellent skiing and myriad outdoor recreation opportunities. There, she worked for Idaho Fish and Game and later for the US Forest Service. She studied Greater Sage Grouse, and the plant communities of the sage steppe and aspen stands. Mary and Colin are now raising two kids in Teton Valley. Mary enjoys birding, baking, skiing, hiking, and going to the woods and noticing things with her kids.ger-Teton National Forest.
