Forager's Feast at Ewhurst Park

Ewhurst Park and Wild Food UK have partnered to bring you our autumn Foragers’ Feast a foraging and dining experience set in the stunning grounds of a private park managed for nature.

Guests will be led on a 2-hour guided foraging tour to discover the edible world of wild plants and fungi before dining out on a seasonal feast created by private chef Albi Ison. Dishes will showcase ingredients from across the edible landscape of Ewhurst Park to feed the body and nourish the soul.

In the morning experts at Wild Food UK will guide guests through the park’s autumnal wonders revealing what’s safe and delicious to eat and how to identify the plants to stay away from.

Ewhurst Park’s ancient semi-natural woodlands house a breathtaking diversity of botanical riches and in autumn are awash with mushrooms from sweet and fruity chanterelles and subtly savoury oysters to intriguing jelly ears and fascinating coral mushrooms. The foraging tour will also educate visitors on edible plants and share ideas for how best to showcase their flavours in cooking.

Returning from the tour guests will be treated to a seasonal sit-down feast curated by chef Albi Ison from London restaurant The Good Plot. Dishes will feature the foraged produce as well as Ewhurst Park’s garden vegetables and Quality Meats from their slow grown animals that live outdoors all year round alongside nature. Produce from the land grows without inputs from artificial pesticides or fertilisers and the site is managed with nature and biodiversity at its core.

Guests will be greeted with a wild drink upon arrival and served local organic local wine alongside the Foraged Feast. A bar will be available for further refreshments including an opportunity to try Ewhurst Park’s exceptional Wild Gin; distilled and created using estate-grown foraged botanicals.
