About this Event

Forage on the Farm
Discover the wild side of the farm

As summer begins to fade and the seasons turn, join us on the farm for a guided foraging walk with Darren Parkin, an experienced outdoors instructor with decades of experience helping people discover and enjoy the natural world.

Through Everwild Outdoors, Darren delivers simple, accessible foraging and fieldcraft experiences, encouraging anyone with a curiosity about the outdoors to get outside and look closer at the landscape around them.

For this special morning on the farm, we’ll explore beyond the cultivated fields and discover the abundance growing all around us. From hedgerows and field margins to wild corners and the wider farm landscape, we’ll look at the seasonal plants, fruits and other wild foods that can be found at this time of year.

Darren will share his knowledge of the landscape and introduce you to some of the edible treasures hiding in plain sight, helping you to build the confidence to recognise, understand and appreciate the wild food growing around you.

No previous foraging experience is needed. Just bring your curiosity and a willingness to explore.

After our walk, enjoy a rare-breed sausage sandwich, made with pork from our own pigs, alongside a hot drink of your choice.
