This workshop is designed for mental health professionals and play therapists working with children and adolescents seeking to enhance their skills in play therapy treatment planning and documentation for multidisciplinary settings. Participants will gain in-depth knowledge and practical tools to develop play therapy treatment plans (directive and non-directive approaches) while ensuring accurate and thorough documentation that meets professional and legal standards to promote treatment efficacy.

• Create and discuss treatment plans and goals using play therapy models and theories.
• Identify & describe case conceptualization using play therapy approaches
• Describe best practices using inclusive language for documentation and writing (client sessions, treatment planning, progress notes, and termination plans) to ensure client efficacy, accuracy, and compliance with ethical and legal requirements
• Explain strategies for integrating evidence-based interventions into treatment plans to enhance client outcomes
• Apply skills in writing individualized treatment plans that are specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, and time-bound (SMART).
