For the Love of Public Schools 💗📚
Join us for a morning dedicated to celebrating the history, impact, and future of public education in Indianapolis.
Public schools are more than places where students learn. They are community anchors that help shape our neighborhoods, support families, and prepare the next generation of leaders. This event will bring together community members, educators, advocates, and local leaders for an inspiring conversation about how we can continue investing in our public schools.
You’ll hear from Indianapolis historian Sampson Levingston of Walk & Talk Indy as he shares the rich history of public education in our city, followed by a community panel exploring today’s challenges and opportunities for strengthening our schools.
We’re also hosting an Educator Supply Drive to help local teachers and early childhood education programs start the school year with the resources they need. Bring new school supplies, and you’ll help us support an IPS school or licensed early childhood education program selected through community nominations.
Whether you’re a parent, student, educator, neighbor, or simply someone who believes every child deserves access to a great public education, we hope you’ll join us.
